My family and I was thrown out our village during one of the greatest famines because they said we are just some extra mouths to feed and as I saw my family die one by one because of hunger. I swear to get my revenge, right before I die I told myself if there was a second Life I will do everything so that no one in my family would suffer this grave fate again, I Xen Chou 27 was the eldest son of the Xen family a normal and but known to the whole village as the one of the most generous and helpful clan there is but we were betrayed as the famine got worse at was casted away to die.

As my eyes closed, I suddenly woke up I checked myself if it was only a dream right after I pinch my arm that's where I know that it is really real. I checked the calendar what date it is and surprisingly it was 3 months before the famine so thought and planned some way out for me and my family how to survive this famine. First, we need to get out from this village and second, we need to store some food and water toward the same location we about to go. So, I told my family to go at first at my grandma place telling them to visit her and accompany her for a while, surprisingly they agreed and I told them that I will soon to come after I prepared some stuffs.

The next day I scrapped all of my funds and some personal money that I have I gathered around three hundred thousand yen first I bought some processed meat and some pickled vegetables and sent them to my grandmothers place with a truck so food was already been solved for at least some time next is safe water for daily use so asked the best well builder in our village Mr. Zen. Mr. Zen and I was close because I often help him to when he needs some money for his daughters Education plus, he was the only man who shared a meal to my family during the early days of famine.

“Hey Mr. Zen good morning and asked if he could help me build a well to my grandmothers house” Mr. Zen said “of course I can” he did not ask why but was eager to start that moment but I told him “Not now Mr. Zen I need it next week” He nod and agree as I open my mouth to ask him how much it would take he stopped me and said “Don’t bother the labor is free just buy the materials and we are good to go” I bowed and thank him so much, after that he gave the list of materials that he will be needing and bought it immediately.

I didn’t send the materials right away to my grandma’s house since I am planning to build a small farm where I could plant vegetables and grow some live stocks so we can have sustainability in the midst of famine because in that time foods are going to get short and followed by shortness of clean water. After a week I bought all the things we need and asked Mr. Zen and his apprentice to come with me in my Grandmother’s house to start the building the well, as we arrived we wasted no time and we start building the things we need Mr Zen and his guy is already scouting for water resource and me and my father started build pig and

chicken fence. I was startled that my father was very participative and helped me with any question not only him but my mother also starts cooking some lunch and preparing some snacks from time to time. With just one day we already finished the small farm we have, the well was also done and we already made some plots for the vegetables. I still have one hundred fifty thousand yen and gave Mr. Zen a hefty thirty thousand for the labor work. At first he tried to refused but stopped once I mentioned her daughter might need it and also told him to do the same thing at his private lot because it might also save them some money and in the future. I didn’t directly say that there will be a famine but it’s my little way to help him. After some few weeks the farm is lushing and yet there’s still some 2 weeks before the great famine starts and wondered how would that village chief will handle that situation.
